Robert Lansing was an American actor born on June 5, 1928, in San Diego, California. He started his career in the entertainment industry in the 1950s, appearing in various TV shows and films. He acted in over 50 films throughout his career, including "The 4-D Man," "Namu, the Killer Whale," and "Under the Yum Yum Tree."
Lansing was also well-known for his TV roles, which included "The Twilight Zone," "Star Trek," and "Murder, She Wrote." He played the main character, Brigadier General Frank Savage, in the TV series "12 O'Clock High" for two seasons.
In addition to his acting career, Lansing was also a talented jazz pianist and occasionally performed in clubs. He passed away on October 23, 1994, due to cancer at the age of 66.
